Finish Off Your Weight-Loss Journey With SculpSure

Losing weight is hard work, and keeping it off is even more difficult. The only way you can achieve permanent results is through a combination of healthy lifestyle choices like proper diet and exercise. If you’re nearing the end of your weight-loss journey, you should be immensely proud.

At this stage, you’re probably battling the last problem areas that seem to be holding on to that unwanted fat. Have you noticed that those areas appear to be totally resistant to your best efforts? That’s not unusual. Some types of fat are almost impossible to get rid of, but at Sulkowski Family Medicine, we can help.

SculpSure® can help you achieve your goals and give you that perfect body you’ve been working so hard to achieve. This safe and noninvasive treatment can eliminate those stubborn fat cells for good. Are you ready to complete your weight-loss journey?

What is SculpSure?

SculpSure is a noninvasive laser-based treatment that targets fat cells. It’s FDA-approved and requires little to no downtime. This treatment is suitable for men or women and can target fat on your abdomen, flanks and thighs, and under your chin.

SculpSure by Cynosure® is intended for people who have a body mass index not exceeding 30. As a body sculpting tool, SculpSure is not meant to fight obesity. This treatment is designed to work in unison with a healthy diet and exercise regimen to target stubborn pockets of fat.

How does SculpSure work?

The number of fat cells within your body generally remains the same. When you lose weight, your fat cells shrink but don’t actually disappear from your body. SculpSure destroys fat cells, reducing their total number. These cells don’t regenerate, making the results permanent.

SculpSure employs lasers that deliver heat in order to damage the structural integrity of fat cells. The lasers target only fat cells while leaving other tissues unharmed. The damaged fat cells die and are carried away by your body’s lymphatic system.

What to expect during treatment

One SculpSure treatment takes about 25 minutes. We wrap the SculpSure belt around the areas you want to address. You can receive the treatment on multiple body parts at the same time.

The laser reaches a temperature between 107.6 F and 116.6 F, which is hot enough to kill fat cells. After a burst of heat, the device switches to a cooling effect. The process is then repeated until the treatment is complete.

Most patients report an intermittent feeling of warmth and tingling while receiving the treatment. There is no need for an anesthetic or pain relief. Most patients tolerate the slight discomfort well. Once the treatment is over, you can resume your regular activities.

Some patients may experience soreness or stiffness in the treated area. Occasionally there may be some bruising. Massaging the treated areas may help alleviate some of these symptoms.

What are typical results?

One 25-minute session can destroy an average of 24% of the targeted fat cells. As your fat cells die and your body expels them, you start to see results.. It usually takes about six weeks before you notice the slimming effect, but full results can take up to 12 weeks.

Some people are happy with just one session. Others may require additional SculpSure treatments. You can have a second session as early as six weeks after the initial treatment, although we may advise you to wait 12 weeks for subsequent sessions.
